Booking your Musiq Entertainment DJ

Please use the appropriate link. below to fill out some simple information we need in order to create your booking and send you an invoice. Please only use this page if you have already spoken to one of our sales team and have a quote which you would like to accept. We'll be in touch within a couple of working days with your invoice.

Our simple Terms and Conditions for DJ hire through Musiq Entertainment Pty Ltd.

Musiq Entertainment Pty Ltd will contract a DJ (and if included PA system and extras) for your event as disclosed to us in your booking details and quote discussed with our representative. Your DJ will be set up, with music playing if required prior to the start time specified by you.

Requests: Your DJ will play music according to the instructions given to you either via your “wedding request form” for weddings or via email and other communication for all other events. Please ensure you have sent through this information to us at least 2 weeks prior to your event to ensure we have enough time to prepare the music for you. We will be in touch with you if we have any questions about your instructions or if we are unable to source any of the songs you have requested. Generally if the song is available from regular online retailers we can source the song for you. If we can't source the track we are happy for you to provide us the song in mp3 format or on an audio CD or you may suggest a replacement. Similarly we are happy to play any original/cultural/edited versions of songs you may require for your event if you are able to provide these to us in the above mentioned format.

Payment Details: Unless otherwise arranged payment is to be made in full two weeks prior to the event. Payment can be made by cash, cheque or direct transfer into our account. Details for making payments are available on the invoice.

Venue: Your DJ will arrive at the venue one full hour prior to the designated start time above to bump in and set up equipment. If you can not confirm that we have access to the venue at this time please email the contact details of your venue contact to us and we will check/arrange. Unless otherwise mentioned prior to the event or by the venue staff upon arrival your DJ will set up where they deem most appropriate. Your DJ will require a reliable power source preferably on a 10amp circuit (standard household power socket) and approximately 2m by 1m to set up the DJ console. Speakers will also be placed where it is deemed appropriate by the DJ and will require approximately 1m x 1m of floorspace each speaker (x2). We generally ask that the venue supply a table so that it fits in with the rest of the furniture and decorations in the venue however we can supply our own DJ table if requested prior to the event.

Cancellation fee: Bookings require a $150 non refundable deposit, with full payment required 14 days prior to the event date. Cancellation up until 14 days prior to the event of the DJ will result in the forfeit of this deposit. Cancellation within 14 days of the event require full payment to be made.

Legal liability: Musiq Entertainment DJs and Photo Booths are covered by public liability insurance up to $20,000,000 but otherwise our legal liability is limited to the fee paid. No legal liability is accepted for events or circumstances beyond our control although all reasonable steps will be taken to avoid or mitigate the consequences.
