DJ Matt is a fun and professional DJ, who ensured all our wedding guests had a great time and wanted to get onto the dance floor. He played really well, the music was the style we liked, and several guests commented that they really liked the his skills in fading out and overlapping songs. Matt also handled the disruption through a fire alarm very well and played some relevant fire alarm songs, which our guests thought was very funny. Great music is a key element to making a wedding reception successful and we had a fantastic time. We had the privilege of having Gustavo as our DJ, and I can’t put into words how amazing he did! The dance floor was full all night since the very first song played, everyone has been non stop talking about how amazing the night was and how good the music was. Could not have asked for a better result then what we had my fear was having not a lot of people dance but I don’t think there was not even one moment where the dance floor wasn’t full! He blended the Spanish music into it as well to suit both my family and partners. 10/10 absolutely amazing job, would 100% recommend to anyone!

As a teacher for over 20 years I've been to my share of formals. Alex was an exceptional DJ for our Yr 12 formal this year. We've had previous experiences with DJs who don't play music that gets people up on the dance floor, DJs who press play and then sit on their phones and ones who just don't understand our crowd. Alex listened to us and ensured that the music he chose was the right kind for the audience. He was attentive at all times and didn't play all of each song, opting to move on when he could see people had had enough and were ready for the next one. As a result the dance floor was always full. He showed flexibility in having some options for the final song of the night, which is what everyone is left with, making a final announcement to end the event well. I was really impressed with his attentiveness, energy and consideration of our event and would recommend him highly. I hope we have him again next year!!!

An amazing experience with Musiq Entertainment from start to finish. Rupert was super helpful in getting us set up, liaising with our other vendors to make sure everything worked together, offering some guidance on songs, and pairing us with the perfect DJ for our night (Pat aka DJ Brown Guy). 

On the night, Pat was so, so great: he made our wedding everything we wanted it to be. We were pretty particular with our songs, but Pat offered some advice on which song should shift, and mixed in his own ideas at certain parts of the night. He curated the vibe of the night perfectly. An unreal experience. I'll be recommending to my friends, family, and anyone that'll listen.

Our only thought was that some songs we selected to play didn’t play that evening and other songs we did not choose did, however this may have been due to song selections from guests or Marcelo having to choose songs which transitioned well together, which we completely understand. Musiq Entertainment was one of the most easiest suppliers to work with, Rupert's quick responses and flexibility really helped keep a bride calm. From providing the quote, amendments, additions and payment, working with Rupert was super easy and fun. 

We had Gus as our DJ (upgraded to MC), he was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was super considerate and friendly towards us, well experienced and very patient. We had a venue of almost 300 and we heard all positive feedback. The crowd was mixed Chinese, Assyrian and English, and he absolutely smashed it. And I want to give Gus extra recognition, he went above and beyond in being our MC. My requirement was to get group photos with every table (approx 29 tables) and he managed to bring every single table to the front for me. I was super happy with the results. If we ever have another event, Musiq ENT and DJ Gus will be our no 1 preference.

A professional organisation. Rupert was prompt in returning emails and enquires before the event. The DJ on the night, Elliot, was exceptional, he kept the dancefloor packed the entire evening and played a great mix of songs from the playlist that was provided prior to the event. Being a Year 12 Formal, we had restrictions with the type of music being played and Elliot did not give in to the student requests!  Music can make or break an event and several of our students have told us what a great night they had, so thank you Elliot and Musiq.

Gus was fantastic. He called me a few days before the event to run through everything he needed from me, which put me at ease. On the day of the event, he came early to the venue, was set up and ready, and was all set up for sound check with all the performers. We had lots of performances at our wedding event so the sound check was imperative. During the performances, Gus was able to adjust quickly to any adjustments that were necessary and honestly I couldn't have asked for a better DJ on the night.

Marcelo was the DJ for our wedding and we cannot commend him highly enough. He proactively reached out to us to line up a call to discuss what we wanted. He was early to the venue to set up and even ran a mic check with us to make sure details including the reverb was on point. The background music for all our events were lined up perfectly and the mixing of songs on the dance floor was awesome. Marcelo was one of those rare DJs who understand the nuances of a wedding atmosphere and worked well with our MCs to ensure there were no dull or awkward moments. Loved his work and will be recommending him to others!

Marcelo was an absolute gem. We had a phone call and short email exchange a few days before the event, and it was clear he knew what he was talking about.

I had been quite prescriptive, having pre-made playlists both for during dinner, and for the dancefloor. Marcelo had already screened all of my suggestions and requests prior to our chat, and had great recommendations for how to make things come alive and realise what was in our imagination. I provided our requested first, second and third dance; I distinctly remeber his comment that the second dance to third dance might be a quick shift uptempo, and that he could bring some other similar tracks in to help make that transition, and I gave him full reign to make the best call on the night. As it happens, the dancefloor went off so immediately, the uptempo song was needed to keep up with the energy, but I appreciated the skill and professionalism it took to make the suggestions and then adapt on the night.

As a vendor, Marcelo was also incredibly genuine, and friendly. He made sure to introduce himself, offered us warm congratulations, and also liased with our live music and MC to ensure everyone was well co-ordinated. Our guests had the absolute best time on the dance floor, and while I chose the tracks, Marcelo made them flow and ebb at the perfect moments. I know for a fact that some guests didn't leave the dance floor except to take a bite of dessert, have a glass of water, or go to the bathroom.

Absolutely awesome, and would work with this master again.

Dear Rupert and James and the Crew. I am more than happy to give you honest feedback and it is all positive (with one small volume concern). James was delightful to interact with and I understand that others had the same positive experience with him on the night. There was no trouble getting people up on to the dance floor - once James was in place  behind the unit we danced non stop until the end of the night. I don't know if guests made requests but everyone I have spoken with said they loved the music and were happy to dance or just enjoy the atmosphere. 

I appreciated James arriving early and helping to set up the sound system outside as well as managing the mics and sound system inside the hall. My only comment of concern is regarding the mics outside: the speaker really had to have their mouth right up against the mic head for their words to be picked up. I don't know what the technical term is for this but the mic was not 'capturing' the audio if it was held even at chest level. The minister was absolutely all over this and he helped the other speakers self correct so it was fine in the long run but I don't know if this is just how it is or if the equipment was letting you down just a bit. Having said that there was a lot of sound competition - from the party boat on the harbour, the occasional overhead helicopter. But that's an occupational hazard when deciding to hold an outside ceremony.

I thank you for your professional attention to the preparation needed for the event and the personal attention you gave to our very specific requests. You were very responsive to all our requests, took unsolicited phone calls from us before hand and you made us feel that our needs were listened to and then were attended to. I would like you to pass onto James our appreciation with his skills and his delightful manner on the night.

Honestly, the flow of music on the night between our band and your DJ was totally seamless, so well-orchestrated, left no gaps between, and meant that every guest from young to old got to enjoy music to their personal taste without dampening the mood of the event at all. He played all our requested artists and styles during the entree/main course service, choosing all the best songs from those artists that were super chill and fit the dinner time mood that we imagined perfectly. Then when the band had their break but the dancefloor was open he played all the traditional Italian music which got every single person on their feet, dancing, screaming, going crazy it was so so good. Our guests had me, my dad, and Cass's dad up on people's shoulders during this. We honestly could not fault Alejandro one bit. Music can arguably make or break the atmosphere at a wedding, which is why we are so lucky that we had Pat as the DJ at our wedding. Pat was our DJ for the reception and he was absolutely perfect! My brother was the MC & even a month on from the event, he keeps speaking about how Pat working closely with him (e.g. letting him know when he would be fading out the music etc) made his job as the MC an absolute breeze. The quality of the speakers was perfect, Pat played all the requested songs and took a couple of requests from our guests throughout the evening, which all worked well. They made sure I didn’t miss anything for the whole reception double checking all the songS I had chosen were possible. Our DJ called us two nights before to ensure we were happy with what we had chosen and to offer advice and support us. On the night he was friendly ensured I was happy and made sure I could approach him for anything if I wanted. He worked smoothly with the MC! Everything was perfect and the dance floor was going off for the whole night! Thank you very much!

Gustavo was the perfect MC/DJ for our reception. Many guests complimented us on his friendliness and reading the crowd for the right music. My husband and I were recently married at L'Aqua, Cockle Bay Wharf, as part of our wedding package with the venue we were provided with a DJ from Musiq Entertainment. The event went off splendidly and the DJ was amazing. We were quite specific with our song list and he had no problems sourcing anything. We even wanted to do a complex bridal party entrance with several different songs played, with very specific timing requests and he was able to do this perfectly. He kept to our playlist and was so professional and discrete. He worked really well with our MC when he needed to make planned and impromptu announcements to the guests and all in all he created a great musical atmosphere.

Only issue was it was not made clear that he wasn't an MC and that it would be an extra charge. Otherwise wonderful experience.

Rupert was amazing! We are so glad we opted for his MC service as well as DJ - this was one of the best decisions we made for the reception!

He kept everything on track, even though we threw some curveballs at him last minute when things just don’t go according to plan (like when the bride forgets to get changed to do the wedding dance as he is literally about to announce it)! It wasn’t a problem to him and the guests didn’t even notice us changing the format. He kept our dinner service and band and remaining formalities going smoothly and we didn’t even have to lift a finger.

Nothing ever felt too hard or not possible with Rupert. He does everything with such a professionalism and calmness and that in turn allowed us and our guests to have an awesome night instead of worrying about anything. It was always under control.
